Upon my return from Boston in 1992, and through the scolarship and support of Leesburg Regional Medical Center, I started the first pain clinic in Leesburg. We saw many patients at that location, and six years later, in 1998, we added a location in The Villages. Many patients were helped by LRMC's effort and commitment. My wife Luz, who is a RN, was also instrumental in helping me establish both pain centers.
Philosophically, Central Florida Pain Management Services has evolved to include palliative care (symptom management) and wellness, with the overall goal of improving quality of life.
"My dream for the future of CFPMS is that it include, not only traditional pain management, but complementary therapy, such as deep muscle therapy, massage therapy, hypnosis, acupuncture, and aroma therapy, always emphasizing the concept of wellness and quality of life."
